Hi, I'm Taynara Formagini

I am a behavioral and public health scientist specializing in health equity research. My work focuses on the prevention and management of obesity and diabetes to promote optimal cardiovascular health among racial and ethnic minority groups and socioeconomically disadvantaged populations.

My research program focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based interventions to promote cardiovascular health. I specialize in creating sustainable lifestyle change programs and supporting long-term healthy lifestyles. I am particularly interested in integrating digital technologies into primary care to better address the needs of diverse communities.

Grounded in the socio-ecological framework, my research recognizes that health behaviors and outcomes are shaped by living and working conditions, as well as by economic and social resources. By addressing these broader determinants of health, my goal is to advance equitable, impactful solutions for chronic disease prevention and management.
